Lightboxes from the art series "Aisthetikos" by Colinci Layered, backlit acrylic glass panels with wireless light control.
For the international art series Aisthetikos by Colinci, we created tailor-made lightboxes that bring his works’ unique effect to life: only when illuminated does the second layer of motifs within his art reveal itself.
From the world stage to the cover of PARK Magazine
Our lightboxes, thanks to Colinci, even graced the cover of the renowned PARK Magazine. To quote the article directly: “More than just a frame – Luminatore is the stage where Colin’s exploration of light comes to life – a fusion of technology, design, and atmosphere that lets art shine in its purest form.”

From Prototype to Art Frame
For the development of the custom light frames, Colinci provided us with samples of his motif panels, which served as the basis for creating prototypes.
The prototypes were based on our standard profile Lightmaster Professional 100 mm, which we adapted using CNC milling. In this way, standard elements became a perfectly tailored foundation. And to go beyond simple on/off functionality, we integrated wireless light control with CASAMBI.
With CASAMBI, custom lighting scenes can now be realized: from quick fade effects to sophisticated light waves. To ensure nothing distracts from the motif and the frame maintains a subtle appearance, the profiles were powder-coated in matte black.
Acrylic Panels Instead of Fabric Prints
Unlike conventional lightboxes, these do not use textile fabric, but instead feature a special sandwich construction of four acrylic glass panels that brings Colinci’s art to life:
- Clear protective panel safeguarding motif panels and technology,
- First motif panel always visible to the viewer,
- Second motif panel revealed only through backlighting, adding extra details to the image,
- Opal base panel ensuring uniform illumination.
The upper motif panel is therefore always visible, while the lower motif only emerges when illuminated – creating Colinci’s distinctive “double image” effect.
Glare-Free Backlighting
Thanks to our special profile design, the light is fed in from the sides and evenly distributed without dazzling the viewer. The result: homogeneous illumination without glare – perfect for Colinci’s play with light and perception.
Easy Motif Exchange
The pre-assembled frames were delivered with protective and base panels, allowing the artist to insert his motif panels himself. A surrounding frame strip secures the panels in place while also allowing for easy replacement. This preserves the flexibility of our lightboxes – otherwise known for interchangeable fabric prints – even within these art frames.
